Task Groups

Active Task Groups

VESA Members have open access to all Task Group/Subgroup meetings and documents including draft standard proposals and other member comments. For more information about joining VESA see our Join VESA/Membership information page.

DisplayPort Task Group

This Task Group is chartered to work on the development of the VESA DisplayPort Standard. It has several Subgroups:

• Control Layer
• Link Layer Compliance
• PHY Layer Compliance
• Logo Transition

3D Task Group

This Task Group is chartered to complete the development of the VESA 3D related proposals.

Mobility Task Group (Formerly Notebook Panel Standards Task Group)

This Task Group is chartered to develop physical/mechanical mounting requirements, electrical interface selection and connector type and pinout, and other relevant standards aimed toward ensuring compatibility between various manufacturers’ display panels intended for use in notebook PC monitor and similar applications.

TV Panel Standards Task Group

This Task Group is chartered to develop the Link and Physical Layers of a display interface standard targeted for transporting a video pixel stream from a TV/monitor controller SOC (system on chip) and a TV/monitor panel TCON.

Marketing Task Group

The VESA Marketing Task Group has been created to develop and support the total VESA organization in its effort to support VESA standards and VESA activities in the marketplace, and to promote its member companies and their work in supporting VESA standards.

Japan Task Group

The Task Group is under charter to promote the development of design tools and reference guides, PlugTests, educational seminars, and other activities for the benefit of VESA member companies, particularly those in Japan. In addition, the Task Group will serve as a conduit to other VESA task groups for feedback on proposals and standards. standards and VESA activities in the marketplace, and to promote its member companies and their work in supporting VESA standards.
