| Abstract: |
The purpose of this document is to set a guideline for enabling interoperability between DisplayPort Devices
and DVI/HDMI Devices through cable adaptors. This is an implementation guideline document of Source Devices and Sink Devices that support both
DisplayPort and single-link DVI/HDMI operation modes (“Dual-mode Devices”). A cable adaptor converting
the DisplayPort connector of a Dual-mode Device to either a DVI or HDMI connector, and the discovery
mechanism of the cable adaptor are defined in this document
Furthermore, an implementation guideline of a cable adaptor with a built-in active protocol converter between
a DisplayPort Device and a dual-link DVI Device is covered. |
